Free age calculation online. Find your exact age in years, months and days, plus total weeks, hours, next birthday and zodiac sign, on today's date or any date.
What this age calculator actually computes, with worked examples for each result, plus answers to the questions people ask most.
Most quick age checks only give a single number of years. This calculator breaks the gap between two dates into whole years, then whole months, then the remaining days, which is the format most forms, applications and eligibility rules actually ask for.
For example, a person born on 2008-03-15 whose age is
checked on 2026-09-01 gets:
The day count borrows from the previous month when needed, so results stay correct across months of different lengths, and across leap years.
The "Age at date" field defaults to today, but you can set it to any date between 1900 and 2100. That makes it useful for checking whether someone meets an age requirement on a particular day, such as a job application deadline, an exam date, a school admission cut-off, or a event registration closing date.
The date of birth must fall on or before the "Age at date". If it doesn't, the tool shows a clear error instead of returning a negative or misleading result.
Below the main result, the tool lists your age converted into total
months, total weeks, total days, total hours and total minutes.
For a person born on 2024-01-01 and checked on
2024-01-31, the output is:
Total days are calculated from the actual calendar difference between the two dates, so leap days are counted correctly.
The tool also shows how many days are left until your next birthday and which day of the week it falls on. If your birthday is the same as the "Age at date", the countdown reads "Today!". It also tells you which weekday you were born on and your zodiac sign, based on the standard date ranges for each sign.
For people born on 29 February, the next-birthday countdown uses 28 February in years that are not leap years.
Once an age is calculated you can copy a one-line summary to your clipboard, ready to paste into an email or form, or download the full result as a JSON file containing every value shown on screen. This is handy if you need to keep a record or reuse the numbers elsewhere.
Check how old someone was, or will be, on a deadline, exam day or any other specific date.
A precise breakdown instead of a rounded number, plus totals in weeks, hours and minutes.
Everything is calculated in your browser. Your date of birth is never sent to a server.
